Fire and Rescue NOS for consultation
New National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Fire Investigation, Fire Safety and Incident Management and Command are now available in draft form for public consultation.
We have been working closely with the Fire and Rescue Sector on a UK-wide project to review these NOS, a process we undertake at timely intervals to take account of changes in the sector and new approaches to NOS development.
The review is steered by our Fire and Rescue Sector Occupational Committee (formerly the FRSVSG) and co-ordinated via the work of Expert Working Groups who work together to review and develop NOS to ensure they reflect the needs of the sector, are current and fit for purpose.
